Night fishing charter terms and conditions
These terms apply to every night fishing trip booked with Gold Coast Night Fishing (Ryan Higginbottom, ABN 41 667 509 518) on Coral Explorer, departing from the pickup pontoon agreed at booking.
- What is included. The boat, a licensed skipper, life jackets for everyone, deck lights, a bag of ice and the safety briefing. Guests bring their own rods, tackle, bait, food and drinks.
- Meeting the boat. Your trip runs about 4 hours from the departure time we text you. Please be at the pontoon 15 minutes before. If you are late, the trip still ends at the booked time.
- Numbers and price. The private price covers up to 8 guests. Extra guests to a working cap of 12 are $60 each.
- Deposit and balance. A $200 deposit, paid by the payment link we send once your date is confirmed by text, holds your night. The $750 balance is paid on the night, by card or cash at the pontoon.
- Weather. Safety comes first, and the skipper makes the call. If the trip is cancelled for weather, you can move to any night within 90 days at no charge. The full amount carries over, we do not give cash refunds for a weather move.
- Changing or cancelling. Seven days or more before your trip, you can move your night free. Inside seven days, the deposit is forfeited. If you cancel on the day, the full amount is payable.
- No-shows. If the group does not arrive, the full amount is payable.
- Drinks and conduct. Beer, wine and pre-mixed drinks in cans. No glass, no straight spirits. Guests drinking must be 18 or over. The skipper may end the trip early for unsafe or disruptive behaviour, with no refund.
- Your gear and our boat. Your own rods and tackle are your responsibility, including anything lost over the side. Damage to the boat or its equipment through misuse is invoiced at the reasonable cost of repair.
- Photos and safety. We may use trip photos in our marketing unless you tell the skipper on the night. Everyone follows the skipper's safety instructions and wears a life jacket when asked.
